Exemple d'utilisation d'un IDN sur un .COM.
Pour rappel, les IDN sont des noms de domaine avec des accents et autres caractères qui ne peuvent pas être utilisés avec un nom de domaine standard. Sous .EU, les IDN devrait permettre d'avoir recours aux principaux caractères spéciaux des langues européennes, mais tous ne seront certainement pas disponibles dès le lancement.
EURid n'a pas confirmé cette date pour l'instant.
Les participants à la deuxième réunion des registres et registrars de ccTLDs d'Europe centrale, actuellement en cours en Slovénie, ont eu la confirmation du déploiement par EURid des IDN en .EU à partir du 10 décembre. Les IDN concerneront apparemment
